Sign PDF without uploading the document

Draw with a finger, a mouse or a stylus, then put the signature where it belongs. It is an image on the page, not a qualified digital signature — and we say so plainly.

How to sign a PDF

  1. Choose the document. Drag it into the area above or click to pick it.
  2. Draw your signature in the box, with a finger, a mouse or a stylus.
  3. Place it on the page, then move and resize it until it sits right.
  4. Press Sign the PDF and download the signed document.

This is a visual signature, and that is a real limit

It is a picture placed on the document. Anyone who receives the PDF can lift it and reuse it.

A qualified digital signature is a different thing entirely: it binds an identity to the document cryptographically and can be verified. This tool does not do that, and no online drawing tool does. It is enough for a delivery note or an internal form, and not enough for anything where the signature itself is the guarantee.

Where the signature lives while you work

Only in this browser tab. Close the page and it is gone.

The drawing is never saved anywhere — not on a server, because there is none, and not in your browser's storage either. That means you redraw it next time, which is a small cost for a large certainty about where your signature is not.

Frequently asked questions

Is the document uploaded to a server?

No. The document, the drawing and the signed result all stay in your browser, on your own device.

Does this signature have legal value?

No. It is a visual signature — an image on the page — not a qualified digital signature. Where the law requires a real one, this is not it.

Can I put the signature on more than one page?

Yes. Add it to each page where you need it, and position each one separately.

Is my signature saved for next time?

No, and deliberately so. It exists only while this page is open, and closing the tab removes it.
