Merge PDF without uploading them anywhere

Drop your files in, put them in order, download the finished document. Everything happens inside this browser tab: there is no server for your PDFs to arrive at.

Drop your PDFs here, or click to choose them

No file selected. Everything will be processed inside your browser.

How to merge two or more PDFs

  1. Add your files. Drag them into the area above, click it, or take them from a session you already have open. You can select as many as you like at once.
  2. Put them in order. The first file in the row becomes the first page of the finished document.
  3. Press Merge PDF. Your browser reads the documents and writes a new one. Nothing leaves your device.
  4. Download. Save the merged file wherever you want, no sign-up.

Why your files are not uploaded

Because there is nowhere to upload them to: this site has no server that receives files. It is static hosting, and that is all.

Other online tools receive your PDF, process it on a machine you do not control, and send the result back. At that moment the document has left your device, and you are trusting a promise written on a legal page.

Here, the code that merges PDFs is downloaded once and then works on your own computer, the way an installed program would. Contracts, medical reports, identity documents: they do not travel across the network.

And you do not have to take our word for it. This page declares a Content Security Policy to your browser that lists the few addresses it may contact, and your document is not one of them: if the code tried to send it, the browser itself would stop it. Open your developer tools while you merge a file and watch the network traffic — you will see this page's own files, and no request carrying your documents away.

Does the order of the files matter?

Yes. The order of the cards is the order of the finished document.

Each file becomes a block of pages, one after another. Drag the cards to rearrange them, or use the buttons on each card if you prefer the keyboard — dragging is not reachable without a mouse, so both ways exist.

Is there a size limit?

There is no limit we invented, but there is one your device imposes.

Because the merging happens in your browser, a very large document is bound by your own memory and processor: a phone will take longer than a laptop, and an enormous file may be slow rather than impossible. Nothing is capped at a size chosen to sell you an upgrade, because there is no upgrade.

What happens to the merged file afterwards?

It stays in this browser for up to 6 hours, so you can pass it to another tool without downloading it again.

The result is kept in your browser's own storage, on your device, and it is cleared automatically. You can also empty it yourself at any moment with Clear now. It is never sent anywhere, because there is nowhere to send it.

Frequently asked questions

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. There is no application server: the site is made of static files only. The code that merges the PDFs runs in your browser, on your own device.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

There is no limit imposed by us. The real limit is your device's memory: many files, or very large ones, can exhaust it — especially on a phone.

Does merging change the quality of the pages?

No. The pages are copied across as they are, not re-rendered or recompressed. What goes in is what comes out.

Can I merge files that are password protected?

Not directly. An encrypted PDF has to be unlocked first, with the password, and only then can it be merged.
