How to rotate the pages of a PDF
- Choose the document. Drag it into the area above or click to pick it.
- Click the pages you want to turn. Each click adds 90°, so four clicks bring a page back where it started.
- Or turn everything at once with Rotate all, and use Reset if you change your mind.
- Press Rotate PDF and download the result.
Why page by page, and not just the whole document?
Because a scanner rarely gets every page wrong in the same direction.
A document that came out of a feeder often has two or three pages sideways and the rest upright. Turning the whole file would fix those and break everything else. The grid exists so you can see which is which, and act only where it is needed.
Does rotating lose quality?
No. Rotation is a property of the page, not a redrawing of it.
A PDF page carries an instruction saying which way is up. Rotating changes that instruction; the content underneath is not touched, re-rendered or recompressed. The file you get back is the same document, held the right way round.
Frequently asked questions
Is the document uploaded to a server?
No. Both the previews and the rotation happen in your browser, on your own device.
Why does the page grid take a moment to appear?
Each thumbnail is drawn from the real document, and only when it comes into view. On a long file the pages you have not scrolled to yet are not drawn at all — that is what keeps a big document usable on a phone.
Can I rotate only some pages?
Yes, that is the point of the grid: click only the pages that need turning and leave the others alone.
Will the rotation stick when I open the file elsewhere?
Yes. The rotation is written into the document itself, so any reader will show the pages the way you left them.
